0%Confidence Score 80%Confidence Score 68%Confidence Score From Keplers discovery, scientists were also able to infer that the closer a satellite is to an object, the stronger the force of attraction, hence it must travel faster in order to maintain orbit. Relying on this formula, we are able to see that the velocity required for orbit is equal to the square root of the distance from the object to the center of the Earth times the acceleration due to gravity at that distance. So if we wanted to put a satellite in a circular orbit at 500 km above the surface (what scientists would call a Low Earth Orbit LEO), it would need a speed of ((6.67 x 10-11 * 6.0 x 1024)/(6900000))1/2 or 7615.77 m/s. So really, a satellites ability to maintain its orbit comes down to a balance between two factors: its velocity (or the speed at which it would travel in a straight line), and the gravitational pull between the satellite and the planet it orbits. If youd like more info on satellites, check out these articles: Orbital Objects List of satellites in geostationary orbit Weve also recorded an episode of Astronomy Cast about the space shuttle.

I AM GIVING BRAINLIEST! PLEASEEEEE HELPPP I NEED HELPPP
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

Once upon a time, there were two brothers named Mark and John, they lived in New York City. One day they went to eat in a restaurant with their Uncle, James. Uncle James was a leader of soldiers, who wanted to discover the Island of Death and see what was on it.

Uncle James wanted to explore "The Death Island" because a lot of people were saying that this Island is was like the Bermuda Triangle and WORSE because it can bring you to your death bed. He thought that he could defeat the fear of this island and find the treasure that was hidden inside the heart of the island. Many people attempted going to the island but they all disappeared. Uncle James wanted John and Mark to go with him to discover the island because he liked the determination that Mark and John had. He went to Mark and John and asked them if they could go with him for $1,000,000.

After he offered them the money, they went to their mother, Sofia. They told her "Uncle James told us to go with him to the Island of Death and we'll get $1,000,000" but she advised them not to. But they didn’t listen to what their mum told them to do. She told them not to go because they would risk their lives of money.

After that, they went to Uncle James and they told him "yes we agree". This was the worst answer ever because they would endanger their lives, after all. They prepared their stuff for the journey and packed weapons with them. After that, they went to the plane to start the journey to the island.

There they saw a enormous monster with five eyes and four hands. This monster broke their plane and the soldier's planes too. After that, they all ran to escape from the monster. However, they were going ways they didn't even know and they didn't realize what was happening. After they calmed down and relaxed for a moment, they walk through the jungle to explore the Island they landed on.

Then, they saw a huge spider. After the huge spider ate 5 soldiers, and left them only 11, Mark defeated killed the spider with a rifle. After that, they founded a boat, so they took the boat and went out of the Island.

But then, they had very bad luck because there was a huge Octopus in the lake. He ate all the soldiers, and James and John. But the one who had a very good luck was Mark because Octopus didn’t eat him. Mark went home and was very sad because his brother had died. He told his mom and his mom was very sad and furious, because they didn’t listen to what she told them.

After these things happened and all the people heard about it, they made a big fence, so no one can go or pass into the Island.
