Explain why the decimal moving strategy can be used with SI units, but not with imperial units.

The SI system is based on the basic 10 scale where as with the imperial units there was no base scale. Most people refer to the Imperial scale as the queen picked up a rock and decided this rock weighs exactly on pound and picked up another and decided it was two. <span />
