Scientific revolution was one that took place during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. During that period, a new view of nature was said to have emerged which took the place of the Greek view that dominated  science for centuries.  

The revolution was revolutionary in the sense that it helped the people known as natural philosophers, abandon their old views of things to develop new ones that would be relevant.
