What is the solution of 14 − 0.04x = 17.8? A. 95 B. 165 C. −165 D. −95
saw5 [17]

Answer:

x = -95

Explanation:

We need to solve 14-0.04x=17.8 for the value of x.

Subtracting both sides by 17.8

14-0.04x-17.8=17.8-17.8

-3.8-0.04x=0

-3.8=0.04x

x=\dfrac{-3.8}{0.04}\\\\x=-95

So, the solution of given equation is -95. Hence, the correct option is (d).

During medieval times what was widely believed to control the health
natulia [17]
Well there were many theories back then as to what causes sickness or health however one of the main theory's was one which involved the elements. You see, many mid evil doctors thought that having too much of one of the four main elements could lead to sickness. For instance, lets say you had a fever. The doctor would say that you have to much fire in you and you should take a cold bath to get your frost elements up. I know by today's standards it sounds crazy but thats what they believed back then.

What term do historians use when they discuss the relationship between two events in which one is the direct result of another?
kirza4 [7]

The term historians use when they discuss the relationship between two events in which one is the direct result of another is causation.

Historians may employ the concept of causation in a wide range of ways, each of which is linked with different historiographical claims and different kinds of argumentation.

Through this application, it will be clear that historical narratives are  causal, and that micro-history can be seen as a response to a very specific (causal) problem of Braudelian macro-history.
