9514 1404 393

Answer:

  x

Step-by-step explanation:

There is already an expression given for x, so that is the easiest variable to substitute for.

Substituting for x using the second equation, you have ...

  -3(-2y+14) +y = -14

  6y -42 +y = -14

  7y = 28

  y = 4

  x = -2(4) +14 = 6

The solution is (x, y) = (6, 4).

_____

Substitution for x is the easiest.

__

The first equation could be rearranged to give an expression for y:

  y = 3x -14

Then that can be used to substitute for y in the second equation. My lazy brain judges that to be more work.

A stadium has central rectangular area 125m long by 80 m wide there are two semicircular ends.running tracks goes all way round
olga_2 [115]

) Using formula for cicumference.

Circumference = Pi * diameter

Circumference = Pi * 80m

Circumference = 251.2m.

Total inside length of the curved ends.

2)Total distance round inside of track =

2(125) + 251.2m

= 250 + 251.2

= 501.2m

3) Area of circular ends =

Pi*r^2

= Pi*40^2

= 5024m^2

Area of central area (rectangle)

length * width

125m * 80m

= 10,000m^2

Total area inside track =

5,024m^2 + 10,000m^2

= 15,024m^2

Hope this helps.
