B) Is not a direct sentence. The speaker is not talking to Abraham Lincoln; she/he is only talking about him.

C. This would be personification. This means giving human characteristics to a non living object, such as the wind. The wind can't actually take a day off work because it isn't alive and doesn't go to work like humans :P
