The length of a rectangle is 11 in. longer than its width. The perimeter of the rectangle is 86 in.
aliina [53]

Let the width = x then length = x + 11 inches

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2*width + 2*length so we have the equation:-

( letting P = perimeter , L = length and W = width)

P = 2L + 2W

86 = 2(x + 11)) + 2x

86 = 4x + 22

4x = 86-22 = 64

x = 64 / 4 = 16 inches

Therefore the length of the rectangle = 16 + x

= 16 + 11 = 27 inches Answer

Is the following an example of simple random, cluster, systematic or convenience sampling?
yanalaym [24]
The following is an example of a cluster sampling.

Cluster sampling is a sampling technique used when "natural" but relatively heterogeneous groupings are evident in a statistical population. It is often used in marketing research. In this technique, the total population is divided into these groups (or clusters) and a simple randomsample of the groups is selected.
