Hitler had made up plans to invade Great Britain by using his own airforce. This operation was named operation Sea Lion. Hitler sent most of his fighter and bomber planes to attach Britain. The RAF responded to this attack with equal ferocity. A violent dog fight ensued and ultimately resulted in German defeat. This broke the plans of Hitler of capturing Great Britain. Ultimately he gave up the plans and never ever tried to invade Britain again.
