Answer:

Climate can be described as changes in several conditions including temperature, air pressure, humidity, and precipitation among others over a long period of time.

Explanation:

Climate is the average weather condition of a place over a long period of time usually thirty years. Weather is the condition of the atmosphere at a particular place over a short period of time.

The two most important factors that determine the climate of an area are average temperature and precipitation over time. Other useful elements for describing climate include amount of sunshine, average wind speeds and directions, humidity, atmospheric pressure, weather extremes, and geography of an area.

LOWER is an acronym for 5 factors that affect climate and these are:

Latitude, Ocean currents, Wind and air masses, Elevation and Relief.

Climates are most popularly classified using the Köppen classification into:

Alpine climate

Desert climate or arid climate

Humid continental climate

Humid subtropical climate

Ice cap climate

Oceanic climate

Polar climate

Semi-arid climate

Subarctic climate

Temperate climate

Tropical monsoon climate

Tropical rainforest climate

Tropical savanna climate

Tundra climate

Climate changes gradually occur over a long period of time. However, climate changes are occurring rapidly now due to human activities. Human activities that are contributing to changes in climate include: burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas which produces carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide;cutting down of forests (deforestation); Increasing livestock farming.

The effects of climate change include rise in average global temperatures (global warming), rise in sea levels, melting of glaciers, extreme weather conditions such as droughts, frequent occurrence of below freezing temperatures, forest fires, etc.

. A person rides his bicycle several miles. What process is used by the cells in his legs to release energy at the beginning of
a_sh-v [17]

Answer:

At the beginning, aerobic respiration is used by his legs to generate energy when there was still sufficient oxygen intake for energy to be generated via oxidative phosphorylation.

Towards the end of the ride, his legs are generating energy through anaerobic respiration due to insufficient oxygen intake to keep up with the energy requirement of his muscles as he cycles continuously. Through anaerobic respiration, pyruvate from glycolysis is converted to lactate by lactate dehydrogenase instead of being channelled to the mitochondria for oxidative phosphorylation. The accumulation of lactate in his muscles is what causes the pain in his leg. After he stops the activity, the pain would reduce as lactate is transported to the liver to be reconverted back into pyruvate.

Answer:

2-deoxyglucose poison has its effects during glycolysis, which only p...

Explanation:

2-deoxyglucose poison has its effects during glycolysis, which only produces 2 ATP, while Cyanide takes place during ETC which produces 34. If given the 2-deoxyglucose poison this would stunt the rest of the process very early on, so much so that no ATP could have been produced. So the ATP concentration would have decreased if given the other poison.
