Find the equation of the line parallel to y=2x+6 passing through (4,5)
ozzi

Answer:

y=2x-3

when two lines are parallel, they have the same slope.

in the formula y=mx+b, m=slope of the line

we know 2 will be the slope for the line passing through (4,5)

next plug in (4,5) into the formula with 2 as the slope

4=x 5=y

next 5=2(4)+b

and you end up with

y=2x-3 when you simplify

615.44 to the nearest hundredth
Leya [2.2K]
When rounding, look to the next place to the right of what you are rounding to... for example if you are rounding to the nearest hundredth, look to the thousandths place to see if the hundredths place rounds up or down. Since your number, 615.44 stops on the hundredths place, the thousandths place is automatically zero, so your number stays the same.

What is the difference of the fractions? Use the number line to help find the answer. One-half minus 1 and one-fifth A number li
ANEK [815]

Answer:

<h3>Negative StartFraction 7 over 10 EndFraction </h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the expression \frac{1}{2} - 1\frac{1}{5}, we are to find the difference

First convert the mixed fraction 1\frac{1}{5} to improper fraction

1\frac{1}{5} = \frac{6}{5}

The expression becomes;

\frac{1}{2} - \frac{6}{5}

Find LCM

\frac{5-6}{10}

Evaluate the resulting expression

\frac{5-12}{10}\\\\\frac{-7}{10}

Hence the correct option is C i.e Negative StartFraction 7 over 10 EndFraction

oksian1 [2.3K]

Answer:

I. 3 green and 1 purple

II. 1 green and 3 purple

III. 3 green and 3 purple

All can be added

Step-by-step explanation:

Initial ratio is green : purple = 10 : 40

= 1 : 4

If we add more of green marbles and purple marbles to the initial one, there will definitely be an increase in the ratio

For instance,

I. 3 green and 1 purple

II. 1 green and 3 purple

III. 3 green and 3 purple

All of them will cause and increase in the ratio.
