In the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, the Coriolis effect changes the direction of wind circulation, affecting the weather.
Nostrana [21]

Answer:

The arrows of circulation that most affect the US climate are the arrows on the left side of the northern hemsphere. In the attached image below you can see these cetas highlighted by a pink square.

Explanation:

As shown in the question above, the Coriolis Effect is an atmospheric phenomenon that modifies the direction of wind circulation in the terrestrial globe, completely modifying the climate of the regions. This phenomenon occurs due to the rotation of the earth on its own axis, which has the ability to create a reference system for this rotation.

The Coriolis effect has the ability to change the direction of winds within the hemispheres. This causes winds in the southern hemisphere to turn clockwise while winds in the northern hemisphere turn counterclockwise.

The US is located in the northern hemisphere, on the left side of the globe, as shown in the attached figure below.

Explain the reasons why the study of geography is important and how it affects your life.
ladessa [460]
The study of geography is important because it helps you learn about your surrounding area. Depending on where you live it might be ideal to know where there are hills and high elevations in case of extreme flooding. In that case you could easily get to some safety if you are on the road. If you hadn't know then you would be in a major predicament.

What landforms are created by divergent boundaries
kvasek [131]

Answer:

New crust, sometimes islands/mountains

Explanation:

Divergent boundaries are when two tectonic places are moving away from each other. In the current configuration of Earth, that happens in the ocean.

When plates move away from each other, they leave a gap.  That gap is filled with lava that solidifies quickly and forms now crust.  If the ocean floor is relatively shallow, and the lava pressure is big enough, that can lead to the formation of new islands, mountains/volcanoes on top of the gap.  That's basically how the Galapagos islands were created.
