Explain how you know the number of decimal places that should be in the product when you multiply two decimal numbers together.
Butoxors [25]
When you multiply a decimal with a decimal, you just multiply like you would with whole numbers. Then, you count the numbers to the right of the decimal for both multiplicand an multiplier. If the equation was 8.374 x 1.234, then you would put the decimal 6 spots to the left of the product. For the first step of solving this is just multiply like and decimal is not there. The answer would be 10333516. Then you count the number right of the multiplicand and the multiplier. In total there is 6 numbers, so you put the decimal 6 spots to the right. The end result would be 10.333516. Hope this helped!

How do I find domain and range from a graph/equation?
likoan [24]

domain represents the x values so for example in a diagonal line that continues infinitely, the domain is all real numbers or (-infinity, infinity)

range represents y values so it would also be all real numbers or (-infinity, infinity)

let’s say there is a line (refer to pic) that moves ONLY from point (-3, -1) and (2, 2)

the domain would be [-3, 2]

we use brackets because it’s a real number unlike infinity (also because it’s a closed circle on the graph; if the graph had an open circle you would use a parenthesis)

and the range would be [-1, 2]

if you have any more questions about this explanation feel free to ask!

2x +5y=10 writing equations in slope intercept form
rosijanka [135]
Answer: y=-2/5x+2

Solving Steps:
2x+5y=10 - Move the variable to the right
5y=10-2x - Divide both sides by five
y=2-2/5x - Reorder the terms
y=-2/5x+2
