Not having an abundance of niancin and riboflaving hindered the production of ATP in the cells. FADH2 and NADH which represent the reduced form of niancin and riboflaving are needed for the production of ATP inside the cell, their absence or inadequate quantity compromise the production of ATP.

When a peptide hormone reaches its target cell, which event happens next?
oksano4ka [1.4K]
They are unable to pass through the plasma membrane and have different methods of action. They attach to their receptors in the target cell surface and influence activity within the cell through cytoplasmic intermediates called second messengers.

The two most important messengers are cAMP and inositol triphosphate.

Cyclic AMP: ATP is converted into cAMP after a series of reactions on the plasma membrane following the attachment of the hormone to the membrane. cAMP relays the signal from the membrane to the metabolic machinery of the cytoplasm.

_______ are slender projections on the tips of some taste bud cells that extend into the taste pore.
jek_recluse [69]

The microvillus are tiny hair- like membrane that greatly increase the amount of surface area of the cells for better reception. It plays a major role in the tongue that are responsible for sending signals to the brain which then decides the taste of the food particle that is on the tongue.

The long and slender structure gives greater space for absorbing the data and then convert them into signals. Hence the microvillus are the slender projections on the tips of some taste bud cells that extend into the taste pores
