Y= square root of x+ 15
const2013 [10]

Answer:

y = 8 and x = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

I cant explain but here is what I did :

Squares are basically the consecutive sum of odd numbers i.e. if you add consecutive odd numbers , you will pretty surely obtain a square number . And since 15 cant be the sum of any two odd numbers , x and y had to be consecutive numbers . So , I did a bit of math and found out that the difference of squares of any two consecutive numbers is the sum of those two consecutive numbers i.e. if x and y are two consecutive numbers , x^2 - y^2 = x + y

I solved for x and y and I obtained the answer

Regular quadrilateral prism has an altitude h = 11 cm and base edges b=8 cm. Find the sum of all edges.
natka813 [3]
The first thing we will do is assume that the prism is square based.
 We have then that the edges of the base are:
 P = 4L
 P = 4 (8)
 P = 32 cm
 The edges of the top of the prism are:
 P = 4L
 P = 4 (8)
 P = 32 cm
 The edges of the prism height are:
 P = 4h
 P = 4 (11)
 P = 44 cm
 The total sum will be:
 Pt = 32 + 32 + 44
 Pt = 108 cm
 Answer:

the sum of all edges is:

Pt = 108 cm
