The image and use of feathers relates to birds, and to many, birds are a symbol of freedom.

Explanation: The characters freedom is different from the bird's freedom in that the characters have to fly in moderation because they have artificial wings made of materials that can fall apart in certain conditions, but the birds are truly free and can fly almost anywhere, for they are born with wings attached to their bodies.
