Answer:

B. 30%

Explanation:

DNA has four type of nitrogenous bases in its nucleotides named as adenine, thiamine, cytosine and guanine and the abbreviations for these bases are A, T, C and G respectively. DNA is a double stranded bio molecule and the nucleotides of both the strands of DNA are joined with each other with the help of either double bonds or triple bonds which exist between the nitrogenous bases of its nucleotides. There are two type of bases, purines and pyrimidines. Adenine and guanine are purine bases while cytosine and thiamine are pyrimidine bases.

Chargaff's base pair rule says that the ratio of purine bases with respect to pyrimidine bases must be 1:1 ratio. It can be possible only if a purine base pairs with pyrimidine base of the adjacent DNA helix. So, adenine which is a purine always pairs up with thiamine which is a pyrimidine with the help of two hydrogen bonds while guanine being a purine always pairs up with cytosine which is a pyrimidine with the help of three hydrogen bonds. It simply means that a DNA molecule will have as many adenine as many there are thiamine. Also, for the same reason there will be as many cytosine as many there are guanine.

So, 20% of T means same amount of A which is 20%. Hence, A and T will together form 20% + 20% = 40% of the sample.

In the remaining 60% sample the amount of C and G is equal that means it will have 30% C and 30% G.

So, the answer is 30% C or cytosine.

Convert 63°F to degrees Celsius.
Deffense [45]

Answer:

C = 5/9(F - 32)

C = 35

35 = 5/9(F-32)

35 * 9/5 = (F-32)

(F-32) = 63

F = 63 + 32 = 95

Which endocrine gland secretes hormones that help the body adapt to stressful situations, reduce inflammation, and prepare the b
Schach [20]
Adrenal glands

The adrenal glands consist of different parts which produce different types of hormones, most commonly ones that help the individual cope with stress, both long-term and short-term. These hormones include epinephrine (adrenaline), norepinephrine (noradrenaline), and cortisol. For short-term stress, hormones (epinephrine and norepinephrine) are released to prepare the body for physical exertion (i.e. in fight-or-flight situations). On the other hand, cortisol helps a person cope with long-term stress and this hormone has also been known to reduce inflammation as well.

Other hormones produce by the adrenal glands include those essential for regulating fluid and electrolyte balance, and glucose in the body.

You have discovered a new species of prokaryote in a deep-sea thermal vent. Without any further characterization, which statemen
maw [93]

The questions is incomplete as it lacks the multiple options. The options are as follows;

a. These organisms store their genetic information in a compartment called a nucleus.

b. Information in DNA is translated into RNA and then transcribed into protein.

c. The organisms are from the domain Archaea.

d. Information in RNA is transcribed into DNA and then translated into protein.

e. None of the statements can be made with certainty.

Answer:

None of the statements can be made with certainty.

Explanation:

The classification of the organisms are made on the similarities and differences between the organisms. The three domain of the classification are archaea, bacteria, and eukaryote domains.

The species can be classified on the basis of the numbers of characteristics and not on just a single character. The new species is found in deep sea thermal vents but no other information is given about the species like its cell wall characteristics or the genetic material. The species cannot be classified accurately.

Thus, the correct answer is option (e).
