We are looking for the circumference of the school field. When we assume that the field is a rectangle, we can use the following formula for finding its circumference.
Circumference = 2 × length + 2 × width
Plug in the length and width from the question.

Multiply first (remember: PEMDAS).
Cirxumference = 100 + 20
And finally add.
Circumference = 120.
Hence, the total length of the fence will be 120 meters.
