The temperature has gotten significantly hotter.

Explanation:

The temperature has gotten hotter over the years.  This results in the climate change of rain having different thresholds during the dry and wet season in the peninsula. Overall, over many many years, the temperature increase has caused the climate to change in it getting hotter, also effecting the total rainfall.
