Which column and row references are updated when you copy the formula f$3/15

Answer: Column F

Explanation: In Microsoft excel, for the sake of robustness and to aid the effectiveness of updating formulas across cells. The reference of cells are treated as relative which means that when formulas are copied across columns or within rows, they get updated automatically. However, some numbers may be treated as constants such that we do not want them to change or be updated as we move acisss cells. Thus, such numbers are treated Given absolute references, which is made possible by adding a '$' prefix before the colum alphabet or row number or both. in the scenario given above, the row has the $ prefix, hence, it is absolute and will not change but the column alphabet does not and hence, treated as relative.

What coding language should i begin with if i'm looking to get into AI ?
loris [4]

Depends really. Have you got prior coding experience? The semantics of certain languages are much easier to pick up if you've had prior experience, but it might seem impossible to someone who has minimal experience.

Assuming that you're no older than 15 or 16, I'm going to suggest Python. It's a simple, high-level language that's easier to understand than most languages. If you think you've got enough experience to quickly understand and pick up things, then I'd probably say R is a good language to start with. It's very well-suited for AI and tends to be a favourite for AI researchers.

Differentiate between Scope and Linkage
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer: The difference between the scope and linkage is as follows:-

  • Scope of the variable is defined as the variable view from different program parts whereas the linkage is described as the link that is made between the variable and the declaration function having the common name.
  • Scope of variable describes about the existing time of the variable in the program whereas linkage is defined for the name of variable present in the program is available at all time .

Determine the number of character comparisons made by the brute-force algorithm in searching for the pattern GANDHI in the text
leonid [27]

Answer:

Total number of character comparison = 43

Explanation:

Using the Brute force algorithm

The string of n characters is known as text, and the string of m characters is known as the pattern.

From the given information:

The text (n)=THERE_IS_MORE_TO_LIFE_THAN_INCREASING_ITS_SPEED

The pattern (m) = GANDHI

The total no of characters that we have in the text = 47

The total number of characters in pattern = 6

For a brute force algorithm;

Since; the first character of the pattern does not exist in the text, then the number of trials made can be attempted can be expressed as = n – m + 1

= 47 – 6 + 1

= 47 – 5

= 42

Thus; the algorithm will attempt the trial 42 times.

Now, for loop in the algorithm to run 42 times, the G in the pattern will have to align against the for T in the text, and in the last case, it will be aligned against the last space.

On each attempted trial, the algorithm will make one unsuccessful comparison.

However, at the trial at which the G in the pattern Is aligned with the G in the text, there will be two successful comparisons.

Hence, we can calculate the total number of character comparison as follows:

Total number of character comparison = \mathbf{\bigg ( ( 42 -  (no. \ of \  failed \ comparison) ) \times 1 + (1 \times ( Two \ successful \  comparisons) ) \bigg ) }

Total number of character comparison = ( (( 42 – 1) × 1 ) + ( 1 × 2) )

Total number of character comparison = 41 + 2

Total number of character comparison = 43
