The correct answer to this open question is the following.

It is true that Washington highlighted the problems with maintaining foreign alliances, but some ways that alliances can be constructive and useful are the following.

Probably not in his days as the first President of the United States, but today -without a doubt- having good foreign relationships with other countries and forming alliances is the best way to grow and prosper.

In the particular case of the United States, this can be clearly seen in its participation in NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It has been an international alliance that protects the safety and military presence of its members.

Another good example can be NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, now turned into USMCA, the United States, México, and Canada Agreement. This trade agreement has strengthened the position of these three allies as powerful economies.

Is Libel supported by freedom of speech?
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

If it is written down, it's called "libel" whereas if it's spoken, it's called "slander." Defamation law attempts to balance the freedom of speech and open exchange of ideas without giving someone permission to run around spreading lies about another that may harm his or her reputation, ability to earn a living, etc.
