Answer:

With all the sunlight and fresh air coming in, the plant will thrive on the windowsill.

Explanation:

The word "thrive" is a little like "live" or "survive", but with eagerness. For example, if a plant thrived on a windowsill, it would live heartily because it was receiving so much sunlight and fresh air.

The other answers don't make sense. "I thrive that I do not have..." if you replace 'thrive' with 'live' the sentence reads, "I live that I do not have..." which is incorrect.

"He did not want to thrive his mother anymore because she was already irritated." Replacing 'thrive' with 'live' becomes, "He did not want to live his mother..." which doesn't make sense.

"The rain came pouring down, creating a thrive in the streets and sidewalks." Again, if you replace 'thrive' with 'live', the sentence becomes, "The rain came pouring down, creating a live..." which doesn't make sense.

Thus, your answer is option 2, "With all the sunlight and fresh air coming in, the plant will thrive on the windowsill."

Answer:

The three reasons why Grendel led a painful life are:

  1. Lived in swamplands.
  2. Celebration noises bothered him.
  3. Poor relationship with God.

Explanation:

'Beowulf' is an Old English epic poem; centered on the titular character, Beowulf. He is a warrior and heroic character in the epic.

Grendel is one of the monsters and antagonists that Beowulf crosses paths with. Grendel has led a painful life in epic. Grendel is a cursed descendant of Cain. This curse has led him to live a painful life in swamplands. He was easily bothered by the noises of celebrations. Another reason for his painful life is his poor relationship with God. What is the difference between Atticus’ and Aunt Alexandra’s definitions of people who are “trash”?
solniwko [45]

Answer:

Atticus believes "trash' people are those without moral and goodness of the heart whereas Aunt Alexandria defines them as poor people who have no social status.

Explanation:

Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird is a story of the South where there are still some prejudices against black people. The Southern mentality against these people through the eyes of a young girl Scout shows us the life of a Southern state.

Atticus is the father of Jem and Scout who resides in Maycomb, Alabama. He is a lawyer and a very sensible and reasonable man. His decision to defend a black man from being wrongfully convicted shows his own mentality against such people. He shows that every man is an individual and has their own rights, and tries to teach his children the right way of life, as much as he can. Aunt Alexandria, on the other hand, hates black people and still maintains the same mentality of the majority of the people.

The two individuals have a different opinion of people who are "tr<em>a</em>sh". For Atticus, "<em>trash</em>" people are those people who have the wrong or bad personality and have no morals, like the people of Maycomb who think that a black man is bad just because of his skin color. Aunt Alexandria's definition of "<em>trash</em>" people is anyone who is poor and hardly has much social status. For her, social status and appearance matter a lot and don’t really believe in the possibility of goodness and poverty together in a person.
