I believe the answer would be option 2.) Through American aid. That was all i was really able to find anyway.
<span>Unfortunately, slaves did not have their own churches, but were forced to attend white-led plantation churches...from what I've learned, some Blacks on plantations had their own version of church. They "appointed" a black person who became their minister and that minister would tell them Biblical stories.</span>

Which in effect proposed<span> that Maine would enter as a free state, Missouri would come in with slaves, but no slavery would be permitted in other states developed out of the Louisiana Purchase north of 36 degrees 30 minutes latitude, Missouri’s southern boundary</span>
