James, Priya, and Siobhan work in a grocery store. James makes $9.00 per hour. Priya makes 20% more than James, and Siobhan make
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

Siobhan makes $9.18 per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

9*20% is 1.8 so add that to 9 to get 10.80 then times 10.80 by 15% to get 1.62 so you subtract 1.62 from 10.80 to get $9.18

What is the answer to sketch , draw and construct a segment congruent to RS?
ankoles [38]
In geometry, "construct" means do it with a straightedge (not a ruler) and compass.

Here's how you do it:

1. Using the straightedge, draw a line clearly longer than segment RS.

2. Place a dot at one end of the line you drew.

3. Stick the "center" of your compass in the R position of the RS segment.

4. Open the compass so the pencil point passes through the S position. Your compass now marks off segment RS.

5. Without opening or closing the compass, pick it up and stick the center into the dot you made on your new line.

6. Still without opening or closing the compass, make a hash mark that crosses your new line.

7. Place a dot where the hash mark crosses the line. The segment on the new line between the two dots is a segment congruent to RS.

Notice that you didn't use a ruler to measure anything. This is called a "construction" in geometry. It's what the ancient Greeks used to do.

Determine algebraically whether the function is even, odd, or neither even nor odd. (2 points)
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

f(x) is neither odd nor even function

Step-by-step explanation:

we are given

f(x)=-3x^4-2x-5

Firstly, we will find f(-x)

we can replace x as -x

we get

f(-x)=-3(-x)^4-2(-x)-5

now, we can simplify it

f(-x)=-3x^4+2x-5

we can see that

it is neither equal to f(x) nor -f(x)

we know that

For even:

f(-x)=f(x)

For odd:

f(-x)=-f(x)

so, f(x) is neither odd nor even function
