Two balls have their centers 2.0 m apart. One ball has a mass of m1 = 7.9 kg. The other has a mass of m2 = 6.1 kg. What is the g
maks197457 [2]

Answer:

3.036×10⁻¹⁰ N

Explanation:

From newton's law of universal gravitation,

F = Gm1m2/r² .............................. Equation 1

Where F = Gravitational force between the balls, m1 = mass of the first ball, m2 = mass of the second ball, r = distance between their centers.

G = gravitational constant

Given: m1 = 7.9 kg, m2 = 6.1 kg, r = 2.0 m, G = 6.67×10⁻¹¹ Nm²/C²

Substituting into equation 1

F = 6.67×10⁻¹¹×7.9×6.1/2²

F = 321.427×10⁻¹¹/4

F = 30.36×10⁻¹¹

F = 3.036×10⁻¹⁰ N

Hence the force between the balls = 3.036×10⁻¹⁰ N

1. The arctic tern flies from the Arctic to the Antarctic and back every year, a total distance of 22,000 miles! In late summer,
NikAS [45]

Answer:

The average velocity that these birds travel is 122.22 miles per day  to the south.

Explanation:

Speed is the physical quantity that expresses the variation in position of an object and as a function of time. In other words, speed is a physical quantity that expresses the relationship between the space traveled by an object, the time used for it and its direction.

Speed is expressed mathematically as the quotient between distance and time:

v=\frac{d}{t}

where "v" is the speed of the mobile, "d" is the distance traveled by the mobile, and "t" is the time taken by the mobile to carry out the movement.

In this case:

  • d= 11,000 miles
  • t=3 months= 90 days ( considering that in 1 month there are 30 days)

Replacing:

velocity=\frac{11,000 miles}{90 days}

velocity = 122.22 \frac{miles}{day}

<u><em>The average velocity that these birds travel is 122.22 miles per day  to the south.</em></u>

You are standing on a footbridge that is 12 feet above a lake. You look down and see a duck in the water. The duck is 7 feet awa
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

  30.22°.

Explanation:

Given that

height of the bridge ,h= 12 ft

The distance of the lake from bridge ,L= 7 m

 Lets take angle = θ

Now by using diagram

We can say that

tan\theta =\dfrac{L}{h}

tan\theta =\dfrac{7}{12}

tan\theta=0.583

\theta=30.22^{\circ}

That is why the angle will be 30.22°.

10 pts HELP ME PLEASE!? Transmission occurs when light passes straight through an object, thus meaning that light is not _____,
Alex_Xolod [135]

Transmission occurs when the light is not reflected or absorbed.

I think the question is also fishing for "refracted", but that's wrong. Light can be transmitted even though it's refracted, and I'd say it's the same for dispersed and scattered.
