Answer:

Selecting and forming a claim about a specific topic.

Identifying evidence to include to support your reasons.

Investigating counterclaims that go against your claim.

Explanation:

An argumentative essay is one that argues for or against any given issue. This means that the paper must include or contain evidence for the arguments made, support the claims, and thus, making a persuasive presentation.

In writing this type of essay, the prewriting steps will include the selection of the claim or argument that will be the focus. Then comes the identifying of evidence, as support for the argument. Also, investigating any counterclaims that argue against the claims made is also part of the prewriting steps.

Thus, the correct answers are the first, second, and third options.

Stars

Billions and trillions, painting the sky.

Shining light of unique wonder.

Young child glanced up, with a sigh

"How many are there" she would ponder.

All different sizes and shapes you see,

Seen only at night through curious orbs.

To be a star, up in the sky living free?

The idea was a wondrous thought to absorb.

Small hands grasped together in anticipation,

Awaiting the moment to come.

"Aren't stars such wonderful creations?"

She asks with a gentle hum.

Dancing across the sky like a ballet,

the stars whisper sweet nothings.

Upon the crisp green grass the child lay,

Hoping that soon she'll at least see something.

Quick as seen, like a predator and prey.

The stars twinkled in amusement.

They feared most the oncoming day.

Blame on the clouds in accusement.

As bright and as beautiful as anything ever,

the sky lit up with fallen stars.

'My, I could watch this forever-"

Watching the scene from afar.

Were stars lonely up in the sky?

Wondering now as she ponders.

Do they ever break down and cry?

No! There are millions of others!

Though, do they all feel lonely?

Up there in the sky, awaiting day?

"Perhaps they do" She stated surely.

"Stars shall never be forgotten" She'd say.

WITCHER [35]

Answer:

D. Erin is writing an essay about Emily Dickinson’s poetry. In one of her body paragraphs, she uses the ideas from a poetry analysis she found in a literary journal but puts them in her own words.

Explanation:

Though she does not copy the original, she still needs to credit her source. She could do this in MLA format and credit the journal in a work-cited page.

Blizzard [7]

Hello. This is a personal question and must be answered with your own opinions. However, I hope the answer below can help you.

Answer and Explanation:

I am familiar with these tests because I have already answered many of their simulators on the internet, to prepare me for the moment when I need to take one of them to enter college. I am interested in taking the SAT because of the ease in finding simulators, allowing me to be able to prepare myself very well, and because it is accepted in all universities in the country, allowing me to have a wide variety of options when I need to join one of them.
