5 3/4 - 1/6x = 4 1/2

move the variable to it's own side.

5 3/4 - 4 1/2 = 1/6x

change the subtracting side to have common denominators

5 3/4 - 4 2/4 = 1/6x

1 1/4 = 1/6 x

divide both sides by 1/6, same thing as multiplying both sides by 6 (reciprocal)

30/4 = x

reduce: 15/2 = x

It depends if it is negative that's being timesed by 2 more negatives because then that would make it negative but if it's positive times a negatives times a negative then it would be positive and no matter what a positive times any positives and no negatives that will be positive. 3rd term = n+2
4th term = n+3

The fifth term in the sequence would be n + 4.

For the fifth term in the sequence a = 3(n+4) - 2.
