Many scientific studies have demonstrated that misinformation can have a great effect in the way a person remembers a particular event. The introduction of different information just an instant after an important event can dramatically change the way in which we remember it.

In the case of an eyewitness, we have to take into account that any false information introduced can change the perception that we have about a criminal, whether he/she is guilty or not.
