What is the parallel to 2x-3y=6 and passing through(-3,1) ...?
seraphim [82]
Parallel lines have equal slopes.

2x-3y=6
\\-3y=-2x+6
\\
\\y= \frac{2}{3} x-2
\\
\\m= \frac{2}{3}
\\
\\(-3,1) \Rightarrow x_1=-3,y_1=1
\\
\\y-y_1=m(x-x_1)
\\
\\y-1=\frac{2}{3}(x-(-3))
\\
\\y-1=\frac{2}{3}(x+3)
\\
\\y-1=\frac{2}{3}x+2
\\
\\3y-3=2x+6
\\
\\2x-3y+9=0

Can someone PLEASE help ASAP. at least one.
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer:

1) x = 81, y = 99

2) x = 110

3) z = 40, y = 95, x = 85

4) y = 35, z = 55, x = 35

Step-by-step explanation:

1 and 2 use similar concepts:

They both use same side interior angles to find out the exterior angle measurement. For example, for problem 1, 58 + 41 = 99, which is the measurement of the exterior angle. And because the exterior angle shares an interior angle, x, then 180 - 99 = 81.

3 and 4 use similar concepts too:

You need to find out the measurement of each variable by solving the whole triangle. For example 3, which I found the most difficult out of all 4 of the problems, all you needed to do to solve for the other angle on the right was to add 57, 45, and 38 and subtract the total of those numbers from 180 to get z. Then, for x, you add the left triangle ONLY, which is 38 + 57 = 85. Subtract 85 from 180 and you will get 95.

Hope this helps!
