Answer:

When we watch commercials it does visually exercise the brain. We will see the colors and smell whatever was in the commercial. If it was about a pretzel we will smell or taste it. We will imagine it or we may feel like we are there.

If the writer reached an opinion independently, then they wouldn't have to cite the source, but otherwise, they do, if they want to avoid plagiarism.
