The correct answer is D. British debt from defending the colonies in the French and Indian War

Explanation:

During the 18th century Great Britain approved a set of acts to raise taxes on the American colonies, this included the Stamp Act that regulated taxes on documents or the Townshend acts that created taxes on products including tea. This was strongly opposed by colonists because they feel the English Crown did not represent them but still imposed taxes. On the other hand, Great Britain and the English Crown justified this situation based on the French and Indian War in which Great Britain had supported colonists and therefore they believed colonist should pay the cost for their protection. Thus, Great Britain justified raising taxes base on "British debt from defending the colonies in the French and Indian War".

Which of these is "Meno's paradox"?
STALIN [3.7K]

The argument recognised as “Meno's Paradox” can be reformulated as follows: If you be aware of what you are searching for, inquiry is unnecessary. If you don't understand what you are searching for, inquiry is impossible. Therefore, inquiry is both unnecessary or impossible.

What does Socrates say about Meno's paradox?

Meno's Paradox or Paradox of Inquiry states that “a man can't inquire either about what he knows or about what he does no longer understand – for he can't inquire about what he knows, because he is aware of it, and in that case is in no want of inquiry; nor again can he inquire about what he does not know.

Families, peers, media, and school all influence one's level of self-esteem.
lord [1]
True. Families, peers, media, and school all influence one's level of self-esteem.

Self-esteem is a reflection of how one sees and values himself or herself. Views contributed by outside environment regarding one's self worth will influence one's level of self-esteem.

For example:
You grew up in a family who supports you in achieving your goals and who believes that you are capable in achieving your goal. You hold yourself in high-esteem because you see your high-value in the family.
You go to school and people hate you and make fun of you , your level of self-esteem will decrease because the people in school do not value you as much as you are valued in you family.
These are just some examples of how outside factors influence one's level of self-esteem.
