“It was sheer terror!” Jude exclaimed to her therapist. “My cat choked due to a bonnet...Someone suffocated MY cat, with a bonnet.”

Jude had seen this therapist for weeks, way before this situation even arose. Society will never look at her the same, in fact, she’s nonexistent. The therapist had dealt with other creatures of the undead before, those with extreme or not-so extreme disgust. Dr. Mort Ishan, the lead psychiatrist and counselor at Gravenport University, finds glory in his work.
“Okay Jude, have you tried to retrogress on this? I’m sure that will be a positive thing to include on your weekly reflection.” Dr. Mort replied with a sinister stare.
“Ugh.” She’d groan. “You trying to be lenient Mort? Be honest, we’ve tried everything, trial and error, blah blah..”

Mort Ishan is pronounced Mortician

I think you mean a scaler quantity. 
a scaler quantity is something that is measured without a directional component to it. 
ie. mass, temperature, speed 
it could be negative value but the negative means its value. you can use a scale to measure scaler quantity.
