WWII affected women in a great way! During his time of war, the women at home helped build big planes and bullets and artillery shells being used by their boyfriends or husbands or brothers and fathers in Germany fighting. But also this gave the woman the time to stand up for women's rights and to fight for equality of pay and work. without the women's help in the factories back at home our army would have been in trouble overseas.
France use to control Canada. Not anymore I believe as Canada is its own independent nation :)
Competition was behind the industrial revolution as various companies competed for customers. Thanks to the Industrial Revolution, customers could more easily access goods. Things that had been considered more luxury items could now be had by anyone as more could be made faster, cheaper, easier, and business owners didn't have to employ as many workers. Businesses also had to compete for raw materials sometimes. Others competed for ideas and patents to create various things.
Are you Australian? In that case it would rather ironically be the Aboriginals and their children. If not, (and I'm not 100 percent sure about this one) but this was during the time period of the African American rights Reform period in the United States.
