Women in War

English
1 answer:
Marizza181 [45]3 years ago
4 0

Answer:

Her Iraqi guards had long fled, she was being well cared for - and doctors had already tried to free her. John Kampfner discovers the real story behind a modern American war myth

Explanation:

Jessica Lynch became an icon of the war. An all-American heroine, the story of her capture by the Iraqis and her rescue by US special forces became one of the great patriotic moments of the conflict. It couldn't have happened at a more crucial moment, when the talk was of coalition forces bogged down, of a victory too slow in coming.

Her rescue will go down as one of the most stunning pieces of news management yet conceived. It provides a remarkable insight into the real influence of Hollywood producers on the Pentagon's media managers, and has produced a template from which America hopes to present its future wars.

The limerick and the tongue twister are two types of___.
olga nikolaevna [1]

Tongue twisters are fun. No matter how difficult they may be to read aloud, no matter how much a person dislikes the subject of English in school, everyone finds something to enjoy about tongue twisters. What do they teach us? Well, not necessarily a great deal. They are helpful in improving elocution. Other than that, they are just fun.
Now, I like poetry. A tongue twister need not be poetry, but they are all the better from my perspective when they are poems. As a result, the tongue twisters here are mostly poems. Will you learn anything? Nope. But read them aloud over and over and watch your speech improve over time.

Tell about a time you felt pressured to do something you did not want to do. What were the circumstances? What was the outcome?
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

Choose the best option.

Explanation:

One day my father told me that I need to look for a new job because our spending at home is growing and we all need to work to help. I understood the situation, but at that moment I needed to practice hard for a new contest for a new band and instrument I play. I knew it was more important to get a job but my wish was to dedicate myself and be able to participate in a band even we still won't make money playing.

Circumstances : We had problems at home and although I had my own desire for something tertiary, I knew I needed to help with more income.

Outcome : I will lose the spot in the band although I will help my family.

Learned : I needed to understand to leave something that is less important in order to be able to help something that is happening at a particular time. My family and financial matters were more important than something else.

Of course I learned that I need to have patience for my desires, and that if the opportunity happens again in the future I will struggle to get it.
