I'm pretty sure it is C. Friendly-looking dog.
In all the other examples a comma should have been used as it is a 'list'

Hope This Helps You!

Which of the following examples is ungrammatical?
andriy [413]
The ungrammatical example is I is hungry, which is the third option here. This is ungrammatical because the conjugation of the verb to be is incorrect - I always goes with am, not is, which is used for third person singular only, and I is first person singular. The second example is the only completely acceptable one. The first and fourth examples aren't ungrammatical, but they are colloquial and should not be used in written form.

Benjamin Franklin was practically penniless when he arrived in Philadelphia. _____ He was able to buy some rolls.
oee [108]
We will be using the transitional word "but".

To complete the sentence:

Benjamin Franklin was practically penniless when he arrived in Philadelphia, but he was able to buy some rolls.

Quick trivia:

In early America, running away was illegal. Runaways did not fit anywhere and people had to have a place in society. That did not stop Benjamin, instead, he rode a boat to New York in hope to find work as a printer. He didn't continue and walked to New Jersey, finally arriving in Philadelphia via boat ride.
