Answer:

Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner. Effects that scientists had predicted in the past would result from global climate change are now occurring: loss of sea ice, accelerated sea level rise and longer, more intense heat waves. Scientists have high confidence that global temperatures will continue to rise for decades to come, largely due to greenhouse gases produced by human activities. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which includes more than 1,300 scientists from the United States and other countries, forecasts a temperature rise of 2.5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit over the next century.

What is meiosis getting ready for
Nady [450]
The process of meiosis is the cell division that prepares the species for sexual reproduction. Through meiosis cells goes from diploid (2n) cells to haploid (n) gamates. Each daughter cell carries exactly one half of the genetic material from the mother cell. In females the result of meiosis is the production of egg cells, where in the male, the result of meiosis is the production of sperm cells.

What would happen if you fed termites a drug that killed trichonympha?
yaroslaw [1]

Answer:

Termite will not perform its function which is digesting cellulose. Hence termite will unable to decay woods.

Explanation:

Termites and trichonympha ( a protist ) are in symbiotic relation. Trichonympha lives in the hind gut of a termite. Termites give a home to trichonympha while trichonympha produce an enzyme which is used by termites to digest cellulose. So without trichonympha, there will be no enzyme and no digesting activity by termites.
