To make the correct hand signal for a left turn, your left arm & hand should be fingers extended, straight out of your vehicle past your side mirror.

Slow Down/Stop: Extend your left arm bent downwards at the elbow along with your palm facing backward. As a decent driver, you must get into the right turn lane and signal a minimum of 100 feet before you switch. Before you create any turn, you ought to look both ways for oncoming traffic or pedestrians.

As you're making a move to your left side, vehicles that are already on your left side won't be able to see the hand signals you create from your driver's seat. confirm your palm hand signal is facing forward and your elbow is straight. Your fingers will be unfolded otherwise you can fold your four fingers to create a pointing sign towards the left.

For right turns, extend your left arm out the driver's window together elbow bent and point your hand to the sky with your hand signal palm facing forward. Again, it is best to stay your arm during this position until you start your right turn, even as you'd leave your turn signals on as you started the turn.

When turning left, extend your arm straight outwards. When turning right, bend your arm at the elbow together with your hand pointing upward. to point a stop, bend your arm at the elbow along with your hand and forearm pointing toward the bottom, and your palm open and facing backward.

Vinvika [58]

Answer:

1.  parens patriae.

2.  police power

Explanation:

Parens patriae is a widely known Latin term used in socio-political and law context, which literally means “parent of the fatherland." It described the law-related issues that pertain to government's capacity to act as the legal guardian for individuals or citizens who are incapable to look after themselves

On the other hand, Police Power is a term that describes the power of the governments to oversee the attitude of individuals and enforce order within their sovereignty, in order to promote the development of the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of their citizens.

Hence, The two competing legal foundations of civil commitment are PARENS PATRIAE (providing care to people who need it) and POLICE POWER (protecting society from harm).
