The main role of the “Office of National Drug Control” is to decrease the manufacturing and the usage of drugs.

Especially during the 1960's the 'counterculture' movement period, the drugs had become more popular in public. Then the Americans realized that the drug use was a serious threat to the country and it's moral.  The ''Office of National Drug Control Policy'' (ONDCP) was started by former President Nixon who initiated the “war on drugs”.
