12 boxes are needed and 20 will be in the last box.

1450/130 is 11.15 so You round up and need 12 boxes (because you can’t have .15 of a box) so you get the 11 boxes and multiply by how much it can hold (130) and get 1430 which is 20 short of 1450 so 20 would be in the last box .

Answer:

12 boxes are needed in all.

Last box will contain only 20 kernels.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given is :

The popped corn is put into small popcorn boxes that each hold 130 popped kernels.

There are 1450 kernels in a pound of un popped popcorn.

If all the boxes are filled except for the last box, then how many boxes are needed?

Number of boxes = Total number of kernels/Number of kernel in each box

=> \frac{1450}{130}= 11.15

Therefore, a total of 11+1 = 12 boxes are needed as 11.15 is more than 11.

And the last box will contain = 1450-1430=20 kernels.

Therefore, the last box will have 20 kernels.

Sara jumps off a diving board that is 6 feet above the surface of the water her height above the surface of the water h in feet
Flauer [41]
Well when she hits the water h=0 so

2t^2-t-6=0 factor

2t^2-4t+3t-6=0

2t(t-2)+3(t-2)=0

(2t+3)(t-2)=0, since t>0

t=2 seconds...

However it should be noted that h(t)=-2t^2+t+6 implies that

v(t)=dh/dt=-4t+1 and

a(t)=dv/dt=-4

Since this is a free fall equation, this would suggest that the acceleration due to gravity is -4, whether that is supposed to be -4ft/s^2 or -4m/s^2, it certainly is not on this planet! :D If it is -4ft/s^2 it could be on the Moon or if it is -4m/s^2 it could be on Mars.

Given a dilation around the origin, what is the scale factor K?

Do, K = (20,16) → (-5,-4)
Rudik [331]

Answer:

Scale factor, K = -1/4

Step-by-step explanation:

Dilation of any image changes its size and the shape remains same.

The scale factor is the ratio of dilated image to original image.

Dilation rule: (x, y) → (kx, ky), where k is the scale factor.

It means k = x₂/x₁ or y₂/y₁

K = -5/20 = -1/4 or K = -4/16 = -1/4.

The negative value of scale factor (K) indicates dilations with 180 degree rotation of the dilated image.

Hence the scale factor is K = -1/4.

Mrs.gauthier plans to take her class on 2 field trips this year there are 23 students in her class and each field trip will cost
Alina [70]

If there is 2 field trips with 23 students and each student costs $5 dollars. So for the 1st trip it will be 23x$5

1st trip- $115

And on the second trip its the same because there is 23 students that cost 5 dollars so it will be 23x5

2nd trip- $115

To find out the total of both trips youd add 115+115/

In total, for both trips it will cost $230 dollars.
