Answer:

The hard work and diligence on the homefront was shown in the great material wealth of soldiers and armies in World War II. Conservation efforts at home kept soldiers fed, as well as provided many weapons for the war. The nationalism found in the United States at the time showed a picture of a nation who thought they were on top, and as a result had the attitude of one. The need for materials and the massive amounts of jobs opened up called on many hard workers who has never previously had the chance, and opened a new door to the manufacturing businesses of America. Support from home inspired soldiers to return soon, and therefore work as hard as they could on D-Day to defeat the Axis Powers.
