Big and small agreements are fine, as long as you agree on something it'll be easier to tolerate. Although, people you don't agree with can also be tolerated but can be annoying.

If someone just disagrees with you on everything then they're probably doing it on purpose. Of course, you and someone can have different opinions but it'd be easier to get along with someone who agrees with you. Political opinions can get very annoying if someone doesn't agree. Again, its fine if someone has a different opinion. Republican and Democratic sides are very very different. So its most likely you and that person are very very different and wouldn't last long
