Austin will rent a car for the weekend. He can choose one of two plans. The first plan has an initial fee of $38 and costs an ad
Nana76 [90]
38+0.11m=51+0.09m
0.02m=13
m=650 miles
If Austin will drive more than 650 miles he can choose the second plan of car renting.
If he plan todrive less than 650 miles then it's more preferable to choose the first plan of car renting

The planet Mercury has a diameter of 4,878 km whereas the Moon has a radius of 1736.5 km. Which object is larger and why?
zheka24 [161]
First, to be able to compare these two things, you have to either find the radius of Mercury or find the diameter of the moon. I choose finding the diameter of the moon because it seems easier.

Diameter=radius*2
Diameter=1736.5*2=3473

The moon has a diameter of 3473 km.

Since Mercury's diameter, 4878km, is greater than the Moon's diameter, 3473km, Mercury is larger.

Hope this helps!

How much will you have to invest to have $6,000 in 4 years 3 months at 4 1\5% annual interest, compounded monthly.
Greeley [361]

Answer:

You have to invest $5,020.71  to have $6,000 in 4 years 3 months at 4 1\5% annual interest, compounded monthly.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the principal be x

Amount = $6000

Time = 4 years 3 months = 4 years +\frac{3}{12} years =  4.25 years

Rate of interest = 4 \frac{1}{5}\% = \frac{21}{5}\%

No. of compounds per year = 12

Formula:A=P(1+\frac{r}{n})^{nt}

6000=P(1+\frac{21}{500 \times 12})^{12 \times 4.25}

\frac{6000}{(1+\frac{21}{500 \times 12})^{12 \times 4.25}}=P

P=$5,020.71

Hence You have to invest $5,020.71  to have $6,000 in 4 years 3 months at 4 1\5% annual interest, compounded monthly.
