Hello! Im doing a reading response journal and I was wondering if this quote from The Giver could be considered an idiom, “ ‘It

jumps out of my hand onto the ground...’ “

Answer: Depends if something actually jumped out of your hand onto the ground if not then i think it is but whats the actual meaning? ._.
