Read this excerpt from Anne Frank Remembered. People in the office asked to see Anne's diary. My answer was always "No. It's not

right. Even though it's the writings of a child, it's hers and it's her secret. I'll only return it back into her hands, and her hands alone." I was haunted by the fact that some more of Anne's pages remained cast around on the floor in the hiding place. I was afraid to go back up there, as Silberbauer had already checked on me several times. He'd just pop his head in, saying, "I'm just making sure you haven't gone." I said nothing by way of reply. He'd seen what he wanted, that I hadn't gone anywhere. He'd turn and leave. I was afraid to go behind the bookcase again. It was very hard for me to look at the rooms with the people gone. I couldn't face going back upstairs. Which line from the passage supports the theme "People’s possessions deserve respect”?
“Even though it's the writings of a child, it's hers and it's her secret.”
“I was haunted by the fact that some more of Anne's pages remained cast around on the floor in the hiding place.”
“I was afraid to go back up there, as Silberbauer had already checked on me several times.”
“It was very hard for me to look at the rooms with the people gone.”

What is wrong with Elizabeth's dining room table?
In the help
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

~Hi hope this helps

Miss Hilly notices an “L shaped crack” in Miss Leefolt’s dining room table. This is one of two of the largest clues which signify the fact that “Help” (the book written within “The Help”) was set in Jackson, Mississippi. The “L shaped crack” in Miss Leefolt’s dining room table was referenced in “Help” and through analyzation would prove that the book in fact included Elizabeth.

Select the correct answer.
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

A. the time, place, and conditions in which a story occurs

Explanation:

The purpose of setting in literature is to act as an exposition.

When we read a scary story, and the character starts to describe the circumstances of his physical surroundings, he is describing his setting.

Example: It was midnight when I pulled into the driveway of my house. The lamposts along my street blinked eerily as I made my way to the front door. Something didn't feel right.

Choice B describes mood.

Choice C describes plot.

Choice D describes characterization.
