False

Further Explanation:

The full form of IQ is Intelligence Quotient in which the score is inferred from many standardized tests made to assess human intelligence. This abbreviation “IQ” was formed by psychologist William Stern. It was the German term of Intelligenzquotient. He used this term for the scoring methods for the intelligence test at the University of Breslau. He also advocated this theory in the book which was published in 1912. Historically the IQ score is obtained by division of the person’s mental age score to the intelligence test by persons chronological age which is expressed in years and months. The fraction which is the result of the quotient obtained is then multiplied by the hundred to get the IQ score. Nearly two-thirds of the people have their score between 85 and 115. IQ score has been associated with morbidity and mortality, the parent social status. There is also the significance of Heritability of IQ. The scores are beneficial for the educational placement, evaluation of job applicants. Even though the students improve the score on the standardized test but they are unable to improve the cognitive abilities that are based on memory, speed, and attention. The theory helps us in studying psychometric intelligence of the population.

Answer: False

It is unclear what the effect of the environment is on a child's IQ. While some scholars argue that IQ is innate, some others believe that a child's IQ is dependent on his context. Regardless of whether this is the case or not, a child raised in substandard conditions will either see a decrease in his IQ, or will experience no change. He will not experience an increase in IQ.

wariber [46]

Answer:

C) control

Explanation:

The control group can be explained as the group in an experiment or study that does not receive treatment by the researchers and is then used as a benchmark to measure how the other tested subjects do.

This group  is used in an experiment or research as a way to ensure or know that your experiment actually works. In other words, it is used in an experiment to establish its validity.

In this case, the participants that were told to solve the problems alone, were in the control group. And they were used to establish the validity of the study.
