Answer:

The coordinates of R are (6.5,-15.25).

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

The midpoint of RT is S.

The coordinates of S are (0.5,-6.25).

The coordinates of point T are (-5.5,2.75).

We have to find the coordinates of R.

Mid- point formula :

x=\frac{x_1+x_2}{2}, y=\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}

We have x=0.5,y=-6.25,x_2=-5.5,y_2=2.75

Let the coordinates of R are (x_1,y_1).

Using this formula ,

0.5=\frac{x_1-5.5}{2}\implies x_1-5.5=1.0

x_1=1.0+5.5=6.5

-6.25=\frac{y_1+2.75}{2}

-12.50=y_1+2.75

y_1=-12.50-2.75=-15.25

Hence, the coordinates of R are (6.5,-15.25).

Determine the possible side lengths of the third side of a triangle with known side lengths 3 and 6. answers: –3 < c < –9
vovangra [49]

Answer:

3 < c < 9

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of a side of a triangle cannot be negative. This eliminates the first and last options.

The addition of two sides of a triangle must be greater than the third side. In this case:

3 + 6 = 9 > c

So, the second option is correct. The third option is not correct, because, for example, c = 8 is possible

Three cards are drawn at random from a standard deck of cards, without replacement. Find the probability that the suits of the c
Evgesh-ka [11]

The probability that suits of cards are spades, hearts, and spades is 39/850 or 0.046.

According to the give question.

Three cards are drawn from a standard deck of cards without replacement.

Since,

The total number of cards in a standard deck = 52

Total number of spade cards = 13

Total number of heart cards = 13

Now,

The probabbility of getting first card as a spade card = 13/52 = 1/4

The probability of getting second card as heart card

= 13/(52 -1) (cards are drawn without replacement)

= 13/51

The probability of getting third card as a spade card

= (13 - 1)/52 -2

= 12/50

= 6/25

Therefore, the probability that suits of the cards are spades, hearts, spades

= 1/4 × 13/51 × 6/25

= 39/850

= 0.046

Hence, the probability that suits of cards are spades, hearts, and spades is 39/850 or 0.046.

I need help with pythagoras’ theorem
fomenos

Answer:

Pythagoras’ theorem is a way to find a side or hypothesis when you have 2 sides.

The formula is:  a^2 + b^2 = c^2

a and b are sides

c is the hypothesis

Ex: A triangle has a leg that is 5 inches and a leg that is 7 inches. Find the hypothesis using Pythagoras' theorem.

A leg is another way of saying a side.

5^2 + 7^2 = c^2

25 + 49 = x^2

sqrt(74) = sqrt(x^2)

sqrt(74) inches = hypothesis

Ex: A triangle has a leg that is 9 feet and a hypothesis that is 25 feet. Find the other leg using Pythagoras' theorem.

9^2 + b^2 = 25^2

81 + b^2 - 81 = 625 - 81

sqrt(b^2) = sqrt(544)

b = sqrt(554)
