Interest or desire or want of people is called popular will. A constitution should be written as per the aspiration and will of people because of the following reasons :

People are main source of the nation and they are sovereign. So , their will and aspiration should be included in the constitution.
If the people's will and aspirations are included in the constitution , it helps to increase people's faith on the democracy and the democracy can be successful and long lasting.
It also helps to maintain permanent peace in the country which is important for the overall development of the country.
