Remark

No small wonder (that you are stuck). It is one of those problems that is not really a math problem at all. It is a reading question. What you have to catch is the word altitude. Since that 30500 has no variable associated with it, that number must be an altitude.

That being the case, 500 feet has been added to F(x) to get to g(x)

Answer

F (the top answer)

The Wakey Widget Company is planning to produce widgets. The company has rented space for its manufacturing operation at $4,000
Brilliant_brown [7]

The total cost if Wacky Widget Company makes 230 widgets is $31,600.

<h3>What is the total cost?</h3>

The total cost is the sum of the rent (fixed cost) and the variable costs. The variable costs includes the cost of materials and labor.

Total cost = rent + (cost of labor and materials x number of widgets)

$4000 + [(77 + 43) x 230]

$4000 + (120 x 230)

$4000 + $27,600

= $31,600

Leona [35]

Answer: Discounted function will be

C(x)=6750+150t

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Initial cost of solar energy = $9000

Average annual cost of heating a home with solar energy = $200

Rate of discount he received on the total cost = 25%

Let the number of year will be t

According to question, we need to write a discounted cost as a function of number of years.

So, our function becomes,

C(x)=\frac{100-25}{100}(9000+200t)\\\\C(x)=\frac{75}{100}(9000+200t)\\\\C(x)=0.75(9000+200t)\\\\C(x)=9000\times 0.75+200\times 0.75t\\\\C(x)=6750+150t

Hence, discounted function will be

C(x)=6750+150t
