Answer and Explanation:

Civilization will be established around a territory with the presence of an extensive river. This area was chosen for presenting environmental advantages for the establishment of civilization. This is because regions around rivers usually present soil with high fertility, which will be extremely important for the establishment of agriculture, allowing civilization to have enough to feed itself and establish a trade that will stabilize the economy. The river will be used as a water source for irrigation of agricultural crops and for consumption. In addition, fishing can strengthen trade and food.

Civilization will organize itself into small villages that will be enlarged as needed. In the middle of the territory will be the leader's house, which will be established in the center to represent the leader's power and control in people's lives. On the right side of this house, there will be a temple where offerings will be offered to the gods. Around time there will be the priests' house and the citizens' houses will be established in the rest of the region, with the noblers living closer to the leader.

My house consists of a square made of mud walls and covered with straw. My house is closer to the river as I am a farmer and it is close to the river that farmers live.

Name and describe three significant problems that the economy of the Soviet Union ran into in the 1970s and 1980s
KiRa [710]

Answer:

In 1974 there was a power summit meeting near Vladivostok, U.S.S.R. between President Gerald Ford of the U.S. and Leonid Breznev of the Soviet Union. After the meeting Breznev went to his waiting train. The train however did not depart. The journalist and others who traveling on the train with Breznev were not told the reason for the delay even though the delay extended through the night. The next day they were told that Breznev had suffered a stroke. Breznev's personal physician, Mikhail Kosarev, said the problem was an overdose of his sleeping medication rather than a stroke. The symptoms were similar: slurred speech and muscle weakness. Kosareve said that if effect Breznev was a drug addict during this period and had merely miscalculated his dosage. It was not uncommon for the top leadership in totalitarian states to be addicted to sleeping potions. Mao and the top leadership of the Communist Party in China had been addicted to sleeping pills by the time of the Long March. Totalitarian leaders have a hard time relaxing and getting to sleep.

Which of the following would NOT be considered a pirate? Francis Drake Sea dogs English raiders Spanish galleons
Lera25 [3.4K]

The correct answer is D) Spanish galleons.

The option that would NOT be considered a pirate is "Spanish galleons."

With the support and blessings of King Fernando de Aragón and Queen Isabella de Castile, the Spanish nave sailed the seas to explore new territories to conquer them for the Spanish Kingdom. If the Spanish were known for great explorers and conquerors it was due to the formidable galleons(ships) fleet they had. In the mid 16th century, Spanish galleons were great ships that served navigators to explore, trade, and protect the Spanish seas and coasts from pirates and invaders. Andalucia, Spain, was one of the most important places where the galleons were built.
