One outcome of the Pearl Harbor attack was an atrocious destruction of an large portion of our naval ships anchored there, along with the horror of a very large number of our navy's seamen . Another outcome was the realization by American armed forces and navy personnel that we had been lax in awareness and had we  not been too relaxed at the time, this attack by the Japanese may well have been thwarted at the least. Lastly, a major outcome of the Pearl Harbor attack was that America was furious and declared  war - after which America began producing  arms and preparing for battles with all haste.
