Your answer is A.

This is why:

At the end of this short novel, the audience learns that the Necklace was fake! If Mathilde would have come clean with the fact that she lost it, she wouldn't have had to do all that work and make herself old.

What is the theme of To kill a mocking bird?

To kill a mocking bird by Harper Lee exists a fictional novel that displays the Southern States of the USA during the Great Depression. The novel brings place in Maycomb a fictional town in Alabama. The plot and characters exist loosely related to Lee's observations of her neighbors, her community, and an occasion that occurred near her hometown.

The story exists told by the six-year-old Jean Louis Finch nicknamed Scout who lives with his elder brother Jeremy nicknamed Jem and his father, a middle-aged lawyer. The community recognizes Atticus as an honorable person. In this thing, they are pretty much united but they stand divided about Tom Robinson's trial.

The novel brings place in Maycomb, an imaginary town in Alabama. This town exists a very stereotypical town of its time; the plot and characters are heavily established on Lee's adventures in her hometown. The novel exists told by Scout, a six-year-old girl who lives with her father and brother. Overall, the town stands represented as being overall united and ideal. Everyone in the town works together and appreciates each other, which creates a sense of community and unity that one would expect of this kind of suburban town.

However, the trial of Tom Robinson separates the town. Townsfolk begin to turn on each other as the trial comes to the knowledge of the town. Various people have diverse opinions about the trial. The main divide exists between the black and the white townsfolk. The black townspeople exist on Tom's side while the whites are against him. The peaceful unity of the town exists destroyed as this trial and the truths come to light. Through the novel, the community reaches unity and division.
